The Nornen
the ship in the sands

The Norwegian barque Nornen was wrecked on Berrow beach in 1897 amid horrendous storms which swept the Bristol Channel. You can read about the story below, and you can find out more about the Nornen and other local history via our friends over at Capture Burnham.
